My name is Mat Brooks and I've been coaching for over a dozen years, a bit longer than expected honestly. I started teaching gymnastics as a part-time job and eventually found myself running two separate recreational programs with several hundred students. Along with this schedule, I also started teaching at a separate dance studio working with many competitive dancers as well as brand new athletes. Fast forward 6 years and I began working as a cheer coach under many amazing individuals who taught me a ton of new things. Eventually, I decided to start my own BJJ and acrobatics school so I had to move on. I've been doing this for longer than I imagined possible and am very passionate about it. Being so passionate allows me to relate to many different students and help them along their own path.
